Dr. Sheik Mokhless Ahmad Al-Jiddah, Head of the International Organization of Dialogue of Religions and Civilizations, one of the guests at the 25th International Conference of Islamic Unity, during this conference talked with Jamaran news agency about the importance unity among Muslims and mentioned Imam Khomeini in his talks.
Dr. Sheik Mokhless Ahmad Al-Jiddah at the beginning of this interview pointed that holding the Islamic Unity Conference has great impotence and said: “Holding such conferences is important for making the Islamic governments united and also untiring the standings of Muslims. Such conferences are a way to stand against the conspiracies of the international Zionism.”
Head of the International Organization of Dialogue of Religions and Civilizations added: “The Islamic republic is holding the flag of fighting against injustice and cruelty and protecting the world's oppressed nations and at the same time it holds the flag of caring and love and fights with the hostility and malice in the world and also holds the flag of the fight against Zionism.”
He continued: “It is in these conferences that all the intellectuals and scholars of Islam gather and exchange their thoughts so they could solve the problems of the world.”
Dr. Sheik Mokhless Ahmad Al-Jiddah continued by pointing to Imam Khomeini’s works for uniting the Muslims: “Imam Khomeini is a great elite and scholar in the Islamic world and I was his student for two years, at the time I was studying Fiqh in Iraq and also I met him in Paris in 1977.”
He stated: “Imam Khomeini belonged to all the Muslims, I mean he wasn’t just for the Shias and he supported all the issues of Islam and Palestine. Also he leaded all the poor throughout the world and he Christians and Jews had no difference for him and this is a sign of the Islamic spirit within him that made him look at all the poor with one view and it had no importance for him whether that poor person is a Muslim or not.”
Head of the International Organization of Dialogue of Religions and Civilizations at the end added: “Imam Khomeini was our complete master, and what ever we have learned is from him. It was from his side that we learned a little. I can also say they he was the teacher of all the correctors in the world. Imam Khomeini lived very simple. I remember that in Najaf he lived in a small and renting house, and even afterwards when he was a leader in Iran he had a simple living in Jamaran.
