Before Imam, Islamic unity was mostly a theoretical discussion

At the time which the Islamic world was looking for unity among its children, they didn’t have the necessary instruments, but Imam Khomeini by founding the great government of the Islamic republic, paved the path for other Muslims.”

The media consultant of the secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought by pointing to this issue that at the time which the Islamic world was looking for unity among the children of the Islamic nation, they didn’t have the necessary instruments, and said: “Imam Khomeini by founding the great government of the Islamic republic, paved the path for other Muslims.”

Hojatoleslam Mohammad Mahdi Taskhiri, media consultant of the secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Though, told Mehr about the role and influence of Imam Khomeini on spreading unity among Islamic countries: “Before Imam, Islamic unity was mostly a theoretical discussion. At the time which the Islamic world was looking for unity among its children, they didn’t have the necessary instruments, but Imam Khomeini by founding the great government of the Islamic republic, paved the path for other Muslims.”

He added: “At that time there was no power but the West and the East and Muslims had no fate in their future and thought that they should all rely on the West or the East and obey them. But Imam showed a new horizon and a third way which that way was about the power of Islam for coming out of the West and the East and to return to its origins , and this new way after 33 years has paid off  and the Islamic awakening has appeared which its routs goes back to the plant which Imam has planted by the Islamic revolution.”

Taskhiri reminded us that the enemies usually name Imam Ali as the symbol of division among Muslims, reminded us: “All the Islamic sects know the Ahl al-Bayt (members of Mohammad's household) as a symbol of prophet Mohammad’s movement and Imam Ali as the best model after the prophet. The Caliph’s who ruled before him knew him as the final word and solvent of all problems and at the time of the Umayyad Caliphate and the Abbasid Caliphate the Ahl al-Bayt had the same role and the Caliphs went to them for solving the problems in the government. Only a few of Nasebis in the past and Salafis today accuse Imam Ali and the Ahl al-Bayt  for changing their way from the prophet’s path, which of course such sayings have no logic and bases.”

He mentioned the role of Sunni Muslims in keeping the unity and expanding the solidarity among Muslim nations and said: “All the Islamic sects follow one God, one prophet, one Quran and one Qibla but  they have some little disagreements in Fiqh (jurisprudence built around the sharia) and they are common in more than 95% of Fiqh. All the Islamic sects should know that until they aren’t united and don’t adopt one standing they will always be under the plunder of their enemies. By unity we could manage political, economic and security unions and revive the forgotten Islamic civilization which ruled the world for seven centuries.”

Taskhiri named the responsibility of Islamic country’s rulers and politicians in expanding unity among all the Muslim nation as a key role and clarified: “The Islamic rulers should return to the people’s view and until the vote of people isn’t considered important no government could name itself an Islamic government. The prophet himself, though he revelation was sent to him, consulted in all the issues with the people and he should be a model for all the Islamic rulers in this issue, so as the prophet had a mission for all the world we could make an Islamic government for the entire world.”
