 Imam Khomeini always emphasized on the unity of Muslims

The principle of unity among all Islamic sects is notable and undeniable. Therefor Imam Khomeini, by having full knowledge in this subject, named this week as the Unity Week.

The Unity Week coincidences with the birth of prophet Mohammad, which based on tellings he was born on 12th or 17th of “Rabi I”, a month from the lunar calendar. And this difference has caused great disagreements in the Muslim societies.

The days between these two days, were announced as the Unity Week by the great founder of the Islamic revolution, Imam Khomeini for keeping the unity among Muslims. From that day on, the glorious birth of the prophet of Islam has been celebrated as the Unity Week among all Muslim nations.

Maulavi Mohammad Mokhtar Mofleh, a religious activist in an interview with the Afghan radio “AVA”, mentioning the necessity of saving unity and solidarity among Muslims, said: “The principle of unity among all Islamic sects is notable and undeniable. Therefor Imam Khomeini, by having full knowledge in this subject, named this week as the Unity Week.”

Maulavi added: “Muslims should always and especially during this week, show their unity and solidarity no matter what position, tribe or Islamic sect they have.”

This notable religious activist added: “As Islam has had unity among its basic programs, all the Muslims should act based on the Islamic rituals and should prevent making an opportunity for satanic involvements.”

He added: “The reason of announcing the Unity Week by Imam Khomeini was also preventing the Muslim nations from divisions and by this innovation he emphasized on the Muslim unity against the conspiracy of enemies of Islam.”

At the end he clarified: “Announcing the Unity Week and Imam Khomeini’s hard tries were all for following religious values among the Islamic nation and also for bolding the common points among Islamic nations.”
