During Imam’s stay in exile in Najaf, sometimes the seminary students used to bring donations or the Islamic dues on behalf of some individuals.
Imam used to thank, but at the same time prevented them from using any flattering tongue for himself and anyone else.
These dues were later to be used to fulfill needs of poor people or welfare of the Islamic society.
Imam believed that if faithful people or believers send the Islamic donations, they shouldn’t expect praise any appreciative comments by him or by the seminary students. Actually by doing so, the believers fulfill their religious obligations.
Imam was very careful that the dignity and esteem of the seminary students should be preserved and the sense of flattering should not be developed among them.
Imam maintained that the faithful people should be purged from any type of impurities and carry out their religious duties for the divine sake.
