Imam hosted mourning ceremonies in exile

A memoir by Hujjat al-Islam and Muslims by Seyyed Ali Akbar Mohtashmipour

In the holy Iraqi city of Karbala, Imam Khomeini used to organize and host special mourning ceremonies on the days of Tasu'a and Ashura, and the specific supplications were recited.

Also during exile in the French city of Nofel Loshato, when the day of Ashura arrived, Imam had been reported to distribute charity and fed all the people in his house on the occasion of this day of mourning.

Imam used to remain present from the beginning to the end in these spiritual gatherings.
