Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Ahmad Khomeini once recalled through a memoirs that Imam used to recite the entire holy book of Quran within three days during the holy month of Ramadan while staying in the holy city of Najaf.
Imam however used to finish reciting Quran within 10 days at his residence in Jamaran (a northern district in the Iranian capital, Tehran) during his old age, Ahmad remembered. In other parts of the year, Imam was accustomed to read Quran completely at least for once in each month.
