Majid Ansari, the currently Vice President for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs also emphasized that the event of Ashura doesn’t only have some political or social perspectives, but its comprehensive accomplishments of this great divine school of thought should be reflected and echoed in all individual and social life of the believers.

He went onto say that the devotees must enroll in this divine university and ought to show the signs of spiritual improvement when they passed their curriculum during the holy months of Muharram and Safar.

The ceremony was held  to mark the lunar month of Muharram, the 10th day of which, known as Ashura, marks the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, Prophet Mohammad’s grandson.
