Elite and scholars from 60 countries participated in this event to discuss ethics and politics from the viewpoint of the late Imam Khomeini. Among the lecturers at this conference we could mention Imam Khomeini's grandson, Hojatoleslam Sayyid Hassan Khomeini and the speaker of Iran's Parliament, Dr. Ali Larijani.
Thinkers believe that the teachings of Imam Khomeini will continue to inspire Muslims around the world in the years to come.
Khalil Ismail, a Turkish researcher said that the Islamic movement initiated by Imam Khomeini altered the global balance of power.
Imam Khomeini’s Islamic movement shook up the equation of power in the world and created a new order in the bipolar world,” he said, adding that in this new order Islam came into prominence as the democratic and religious power on the world stage.
Shirin Mostowfi, an Afghan MP said that Imam Khomeini had proved to the world that Islam is not only a religion but it is a complete political system.
