According to a report by Jamaran news agency, the International Affairs Department of the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works was awarded as the Best International Stall in the 25th Tehran International Book Fair because of it numerous translated works in different languages and attracting the visitors.
Mohammad Reza Abdollahifard, head of the international stall of the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works said: “Translated works of the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works in the international section include 27 languages and from 2 to 25 books are offered for the visitors in each.”
He described the activities they had done at their international stall: “We screened a film of Imam Khomeini’s life in both English and Arabic and it was welcomed by the visitors. A CD of Sahifeye Imam in English and with the capability of search was offered to the visitors. We also gave a package including a list of Imam Khomeini’s translated works, a book and a calendar to the other foreign stalls’ members so we could be in touch for further cooperations.”
He added: “We also attracted a number of translators, researchers and writers in the field of our non-Persian works. We negotiated with them so we could use their help for our further work.”
“Imam Khomeini’s English Portal was also introduced during the fair to the visitors and they were able to check different parts of this site in our stall and online, which it saw a good interest from the visitors. The ideas and recommendations of people were also gathered to be used for improving the quality of the portal.” said Abdollahifard.
He continued: “Because the international section of the Tehran Book Fair didn’t have any sale sections request forms were given to the interested visitors and the requested books are going to be sent to them.”
“On the last day of the 25th Tehran International Book Fair the International Stall of the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works was selected as the Best International Stall and we received an acknowledgement and a prize.”
