According to Jamaran news agency, the first meeting of the foreign committee of the central committee for Imam Khomeini’s commemoration was held by the attendance of Dr Mohammad Moqaddam, deputy of the International Affairs Department of The Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works and other officials to consult and coordinate about different issues such as organizing the foreign guests.
IRIB’s more effective presence in the coverage of foreign guests and ceremonies held in foreign countries and producing especial programs with the attendance of these guests in international TV and radio channels, sending cultural packages to the political and cultural centers of the Islamic republic in foreign countries and holding cultural exhibitions in different countries and also organizing the foreign guests who enter Iran from a land border were among the discussed issues in this meeting. The related departments declared their eagerness for holding a glorious ceremony for the 23rd anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s demise.
Dr. Karim Najafzadeh Barzegar, deputy of the International Department of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization also announced the eagerness and planning of this organization for holding the Islamic awakening conference along with the attendance of the foreign guests of the committee for Imam Khomeini’s commemoration.
Rasoul Molayi, manager of the public relations of the International Department of the IRIB also talked about their especial plans for the foreign guests of the committee for Imam Khomeini’s commemoration in TV and radio programs.
Among the different officials present at this meeting were the representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, IRIB, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, AhlulBayt World Assembly and IRGC, these representatives told their ideas and requests from the committee for Imam Khomeini’s commemoration.
