A group of Lebanese tourists visited the shrine of Imam Khomeini in order to pay their respects. One of the members of this group told a Jamaran news reporter: “Imam Khomeini has a place in the hearts of the Lebanese people and they have a special affection for him. This is because the Imam was one of the prominent characters, who stood against the oppressions and cruelties the Zionist regime committed against the Lebanese and Palestinians. Therefore our people truly love Imam Khomeini.
Another Lebanese tourist also said: “Imam Khomeini was the founder of our movement and our resistance against the Zionist regime, and our people are indebted to him for this. Imam Khomeini stood firmly against the occupying forces and defended the people of this region against the cruelty and oppressions of the Zionist regime. The Imam was of the view that America and Western powers were responsible for the foundation of this aggressive regime and stood strongly against their cruelty and mistreatment.
One of the Lebanese women also added: “The Imams ideals and views inspired our young men and women to fight against oppression. The Supreme Leader’s support and eye opening words have kept hope alive in the hearts of the Lebanese and Palestinian people, and they will not give up until they defeat the Jewish people.
An old Lebanese gentleman further added: “If it was not for the Imam and his ideals, it is unclear what would have happened to Muslims. This is because America and Israel wish to plunder our land and all our wealth. The recent uprisings in the Arab world show that our children have realized that by relying on Islamic ideals and teachings they can defeat all the oppressors of the world.”
