Although we are now in the thirtieth year of the revolution, Imam Khomeini is still a source of accepted ideals and views within the Iranian society. The release of the third edition of the book, Azaadi dar Andishe Imam Khomeini or Imam Khomeini’s Views regarding Freedom, demonstrates that the Iranian people still refer to Imam Khomeini’s views and beliefs. This book was compiled by the section in charge of social issues at the Institute of Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s works.
The aforementioned book is made up of five chapters: Introduction, The status of freedom, The limits of Freedom, Freedom among different classes and The relationship between freedom and the foundations of government.
While preparing and compiling each of these chapters, the date of each statement or speech was taken into consideration and so all statements and speeches were ordered according to the date of each text, not according to content. Each saying of the Imam has been referenced and the dates mentioned. The sources are also noted at the end of the book. This book has a total of 298 pages and costs 2,800 Tomans.
