Aftab news related, Yerond Abrahamian, an Iranian historian presented a different definition of Imam Khomeini's manner in his work "Imam Khomeini's Manner" that a part of it was published in "Andishe Pouya" magazine, he excused with eight reasons to show that western perception about Imam Khomeini is incorrect.
He believed "Imam Khomeini was very pliable and also inattentive to some of the traditions."
The professor of the Baruch University of New York writes: “One of the characteristics of Fundamentalism is to not accept the geographical boarders in recent times while Ayatollah Khomeini emphasized on the concept of hometown and even interdicted the candidate ship of Jalaleddin Farsi in the first presidency elections because his father was an Afghan. Or that Fundamentalism is “the execution of the laws existing in religious articles unlimitedly” while the Islamic Republic's constitution is based on the fifth republic of de Gaulle, not based on "Caliphate of Imams age".
Abrahimian writes based on Hashemi Rafsanjani’s ideas: “Where in the history of Islam you can find presidents, parliament, prime minister, minsters delegation? The truth is that eighty percent of what we do hasn’t been done during the history of Islam.”
Even using the industrial factories, airplanes and modern industries and activities such as art, music, playing chess, and permitting girls to continue their studies are strong reasons for Abrahamian to reject Imam to be a fundamentalist.
In the end he writes relying on the mentioned reasons that: “Orientalists’ claim about Imam Khomeini seems ridiculous.”
