Late Ahmad Khomeini Paid Surprise Visit to Lahore

Late Seyed Ahmad Khomeini, son of the founder of the Islamic Republic paid an informal visit to the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore in order to closely view the Islamic culture and heritage of the Muslim nation.

The son of great Imam Khomeini visited several cultural and religious sites across the historical city and attended public gatherings in early 1990s.

The people and masses were deeply impressed by Hujjat-al-Islam Ahmad Khomeini's simple lifestyle, wisdom and understanding of social, religious and regional political issues.

Imam's son preferred to visit several sites without special security arrangements and mingled with Pakistani people. He and fellows accompanying him wore Pakistani local dresses when they went around the city.

The great Imam and his son deemed the Muslim Ummah a single society and used to attach great significance to issues facing the Muslim world. Seyed Ahmad Khomeini passed away 19 years ago in 1995.

Pakistani media gave a great coverage to this historic visit and insisted on following footsteps of Imam Khomeini in order to relieve the nation from pits and problems.

Imam Khomeini and other leaders of the Islamic Revolution are widely respected by the Pakistani public and masses.

It is noteworthy that Seyed Ahmad Khomeini remained the most trusted figure and right-hand of Imam Khomeini during the tough years of struggle and following the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979. He passed away in 1995 at the age of 49.

His serveries for the Islamic Revolution and the Muslim Ummah will always be remembered by the generations for decades to come.
