One of the reasons for the longevity of Imam Hossain's (‘a) uprising has been his unwatchable efforts to persuade and enlighten the society and even for coming generations, he said.
Hojjat-al-Islam Dr. Ali Komsari made remarks while addressing a mourning ceremony held in remembrance of the martyrdom of grandson of the holy prophet of Islam.
By reviewing Ashura events, we see that the enemy army was desperately attempting to end the war very quickly, he further stated.
But in the same short distance, we are witnessing, that Imam Hossein (‘a) was successful in displaying cultural, reformative, explanatory and enlightening elements despite all sufferings and hurdles, pointed out the reputed scholar.
“The part that made the incident of Karbala unique and changes from a mere military or political incident to a history-making, pattern-making and a role- model event that can motivate humanity throu the history is the soft part of the Ashura movement,” Dr. Komsari explained.
There are a range of theories and many dualities while depicting or analyzing events surrounding Ashura and Karbala, the scholar said.
“It would be of great significance to determine whether the Ashura incident was a one-time event that happened within a limited period of time and then ended, or it was the extension of a very long and deep-rooted historical stream that existed in the past of human history and continued later,” Dr. Komsari highlighted.
Unlike all other wars in human history, Ahura has a soft dimension as well which is no doubt of a nature of an enlightening, explanatory, cultural and persuasive identity, the scholar said.
