On the occasion of the anniversary of Imam Khomeini's return to the homeland

The strong leadership of Imam Khomeini in February 1979, which led to the collapse of the former monarchical regime and establishment of the Islamic Republic system.

Rouhollah Mousavi Khomeini was born into a learned and pious family on Jamdi ul Sanni 20, 1321 (AH), which coincides with the birth anniversary of Fatimah (AS), the only daughter of Prophet Muhammad (AS).

In the first reaction to this news, Bakhtiar, in response to Keyhan reporters who asked him about the arrival of the imam in Tehran and the formation of the governmentby him, replied:

"As you said, I am the prime minister and I will have no duty but to continue as prime minister".

Imam Khomeini believed that the youth largely contributed to emergence of the Islamic Revolution and has remained as a key element and factor in its survival as well.

Imam also recommended the youths to remove obstacles erected by some ignorant and extremist people on the way to correct understanding of the genuine teachings of Islam.

Therefore, preventing the imam from entering Iran and agreeing on the future sovereignty of the country was at the forefront Bakhtiar's actions and he explicitly stated that he will prevent the imam from entering the country.

But Imam returned to homeland in February 1979 triumphantly which led to collapse of Shah remnants. Imam established an Islamic democratic system which changed the balance of power in the interest of the Muslim world
