The grandson of Imam Khomeini said that if there was a despair in a society, the sports still can play key role in boosting spirit of hope.
The international-reputed scholar emphasized that a sportsman needs to keep his spirit high in all thick and thin circumstances, conditions and ups and down of life.
Because the life doesn’t always move forward smoothly and could have ups and down and could be confronted with difficulties and troubles as well.
Once you could be a top player but this cycle wouldn’t stop and later others would succeed you. Therefore in all circumstances, there is need for all players to keep his hope and spirit alive.
Elsewhere in his remark, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said that a sportsman should have spiritual qualities and maintains very close memorial bonds with God the Almighty because person with such attributes and character would never be defeated or become hopeless in any types of conditions.
It is worth-mentioning that Imam Khomeini himself on regularly basis used to receive sportsmen belonging to various fields and encouraged them to build themselves from spiritual perspectives and play key role in various arenas of life.
Following the victory of Islamic Revolution under Imam Khomeini's leadership, Iranian sportsmen won international competitions and medals on continuous basis on Olympic and world cup levels.
