The internationally-reputed scholar made remarks during a spiritual gathering held on the onset of the mourning month of Muharram at Hosseiniah Jamaran to pledge ideals and the message of Ashura.
Addressing the gathering, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said that one of the greatest asset and legacy left by Imam Hossain (‘a) and his faithful followers have been to bring people out of ignorance and get them rid of all types of diversions.
If we want to be the real followers of Imam Hossein (‘a), we must adopt this rule of placing ourselves in place of others.
This rule must be apply regarding relations between the government and public, public contacts and at workplace and offices.
“If were follow such a rule, we have taken a step towards justice. Society becomes better when each one of us becomes better.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said there was need to explore that how Islamic society had been plunged into decline to such an extent that they martyred the grandson and truthful successor of the holy prophet of Islam just 50 years after the heavenly departure of the holy prophet of Islam.
Seyyed Hassan also stressed the need to understand, comprehend and follow the real message and elements of Ashura
Imam Khomeini clearly states that the goal of doyen of martyrs’ uprising was "calling towards God the Alimighty" and "calling to monotheism", he noted.
Seyyed Hassan Khomeini also said that another message of Ashura had been implementation of justice and real of its manifestation is through pursuing the rule of “do as to others what you want to yourself”
