We are from God and to Him we shall return
We mourn the loss of Imam Khomeini's dear wife, who passed away after a lifetime of patience and perseverance, and months of illness. There is no need to mention that it is an honor to be the wife and companion of Imam as the great leader of the Islamic revolution, but accepting and dealing with the issues such as the difficulties of living in exile, the grief of losing two sons, and demise of the Imam adds extra value to her personality. Undoubtedly her unique patience and deep faith in God along with the peace and calmness in her soul are highly admirable and recognized as a small part of her great personality. Imam's intense devotion to her wife also shows the greatness and dignity in her soul.
The practical behavior of Imam’s dear wife in all stages of her life was such that everyone could recognize her dignity and greatness. There is no doubt that the Islamic movement which resulted in establishing the Islamic republic owes its achievements to a great deal to the sincere efforts of all revolutionary Iranian people especially Imam's close relatives and his honorable wife whose sacrifice in succeeding the revolution won't be forgotten.
In the years of living in exile and facing the opposition from the mercenaries and extremists as well as from the enemies of the movement, and during the storm of incidents after the Islamic revolution especially during the holy war, this unique mother of the revolution with her great generosity, patience and kindness, provided a peaceful and calm environment inside Imam’s house and made all these problems more bearable for the Imam and the children.
May God bless her and reward her with benevolence.
