Iran’s Quranic Community set to renew allegiance with Imam Khomeini’s ideals

Mehdi Qarasheikhlu, head of the Dar-ol-Quran Kareem Organization, said that the visit will come on Wednesday, January 30, two days before the start of the celebrations. It will also include a Quran recitation session and inauguration of the mausoleum’s Quran center, Qarasheikhlu went on to say.

 He said Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Hassan Khomeini, the custodian of the holy mausoleum will be present at the ceremony in which members of the Quranic community lay a wreath on the tomb of the late Imam and recite prayers.

Every year, Quran activists, Qaris, memorizers, and Quranic officials visit the mausoleum ahead of the Ten-Day Fajr celebrations to renew allegiance with the ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations in February every year marking the anniversary of the victory of the revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.

The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran marks the beginning of the Ten Days of Dawn, which culminates with the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.

The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 40 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.

The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
