Imam Khomeini highlighted role of parliament and lawmakers

The parliament and lawmakers have great significance in dynamic thought of the Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

Imam believed that there deep relations did exist between parliament, Islamic government and law.

Imam through his historic message and speeches stressed the importance of parliament and its relation with the Islamic-democratic government and its institutions.

Imam highlighted crucial role of the parliament, lawmakers and legislations in academic works and messages of Imam Khomeini.

The great religious and spiritual leader of the Muslim world was great and staunch supporter of human rights, democracy and divine values in our contemporary era.

Imam directed the Islamic Republic authorities to hold several referendums and elections following the victory of the Islamic revolution in 1979.

The late fonder of the Islamic Republic used to emphasize on importance of people  participation in all perspectives of life and arenas.

Experts say among all Muslim thinkers who had the idea of establishing an Islamic government, only the late Imam Khamenei could implement his ideas. 

People around the globe continue to feel thirst towards the dynamic thought and genuine teachings of Imam Khomeini. The Islamic-democratic system brought prosperity to the Iranians and restored confidence to all oppressed nations.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has recently thanked the Iranian nation for its "satisfactory shining in the great election test", saying the country has yet to remain alert against plots by the enemy to harm Iran. 

"In the face of the enemy's conspiracy to hit various pillars of the country, we all need to be vigilant in defense and ready for attack and counterattack," the Leader said Sunday during his regular seminary lectures.

Iranians went to the polls in the country's first general elections since the US imposed sanctions following the pullout from the 2015 nuclear deal and assassinated General Qassem Soleimani. 

Ayatollah Khamenei touched on a massive campaign by foreign propaganda agencies to create a negative atmosphere before the elections in Iran.
