The Prophet of Islam (SA) would behave with his companions in such a way that they thought they were the most well-liked and esteemed of individuals in the eyes of him.
Imam Khomeini also behaved his seminary students with the same manner and accorded them all respect and reverence.
His main objective from this attitude was to bring out the best in them and develop their talents.
He would acknowledge a right statement from them and express his gratitude (to the student who uttered it).
Apparently, he intended to teach them how to treat others in the best way.
