Scholar stresses rational perspectives of religion

Dr. Mohammad Moghaddam, the internationally reputed scholar says any type of extremism or hard-line approaches harm the genuine objectives of the divine religion.

Addressing a religious ceremony, he went onto say that the rational and logical perspectives of the religion must be underscored and highlighted for faithful societies.

He also stressed need for the believers and faithful people to be more kind with each others as they have been a great symbol of devotion following the victory of Islamic Revolution over the past about four decades.

Hojjat al-Islam Dr. Moghaddam, the head of international department of the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini, pointed out that much significance should be attached to people with great morals instead of consuming energy to track down those who commit immorality in the web or internet.

He appealed the religious minded people and communities to show support for the genuine religious teachings and practices.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the scholar stated that people in the West have gone after extremist groups such as Tafkiri Daesh outfit due to existing vacuum of religion.

Quoting a famous Hadith by Imam Sadiq (PBUH), an infallible successor of the holy prophet of Islam, he maintained that the Religion is nothing but love!, which means love and devotion are essential pillars of faith.
