According to the Public Relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, on the eve of the 28th demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him), a conference entitled "The Review of Opinions and Thoughts of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him)" was held in Yerevan State University (YSU) with the presence and speech of His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, the Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of Mother See, Majid Meshki, the Iranian cultural attaché in Armenia, and a group of religious and cultural figures.
At the beginning of this meeting which was held with the contribution of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran, commemorating the memory of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him), Voskanian, the director of Iranology Department, stated that the ideas of that great man were the base of creation of a new Iran and today the stability and strength of Iran are indebted to his great ideas.
At the beginning of his speech, stating that Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) had a transreligional and transnational personality, His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, the Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of Mother See, said: "Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) not only was the leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, but also was a figure who developed human ideas in the world".
He added: "Human beings can achieve peace and prosperity thanks to this human life and this is the thought that has made Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) an everlasting figure".
His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan noted: "Today we commemorate the demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him), and his memory is always alive as his human ideas are everlasting".
Invitation to Spirituality and Development of Religious Democracy as the Two Pillars of the Thoughts of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him)
In this meeting raising the question that what is the secret behind the authority, security and peace in Iran after the Islamic Revolution, Majid Meshki, the Iranian cultural attaché in Armenia, pointed out the role of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) and his thought in mapping the path of new Iran and stated that the two components of "invitation to spirituality" and "the development of religious democracy" are the two pillars of the late leader and founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He also stated that the two fundamental ideas of "invitation to spirituality" and "the development of religious democracy" are the secrets behind the progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the Islamic Revolution.
Referring to all sanctions and animosities of world powers with the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the Iranian cultural attaché stated that these are the main reason of resistance and at the same time the progress of Iran that Iranians took the control of their countrys fate according to the thoughts of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) and they have done their best and still are doing so to protect and promote it in all affairs.
Following the meeting, some topics were raised including "a peaceful life of religions according to the thoughts of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him)", "the effects of the thoughts and opinions of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) on the Islamic movements in Turkey", "the effects of the thoughts and opinions of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) on the Islamic movements in Azerbaijan", "mystical poetry of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him)", "the effects of the thoughts and opinions of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) on the Islamic Education System and Seminaries", and "the political thoughts of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him)", etc.
