Nowruz ceremony held at Imam Khomeini shrine

A ceremony has been held at Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum to mark Nowruz which commences the beginning of new Persian year.

The Nowruz ceremony was held with participation of university and seminary scholars and a large number of people from various walks of life.

Quranic verses and supplications narrated by infallible successors of the holy prophet of Islam were recited at the spiritual gatherings and speakers delivered speeches to highlight the importance of spiritual transformation during the New Year.

Addressing the ceremony, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic advised the people to maintain amicable ties between them because  several enmities are triggered by lack of communication and relations.

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic used to recommend believers that they should undertake serious efforts to decorate themselves with divine characteristics during the Nowruz which represents rebirth of nature.

Each year on the occasion of Nowruz, Imam Khomeini used to address the issues facing the world of Islam and stressed the need to solve problems gripping the oppressed nations.
