Imam Khomeini addresses a message to the world’s Muslims and to Hajj pilgrims of the Inviolable House of God on the occasion of the Feast of Sacrifice (Id al-Adwa). Referring to Israel’s atrocities, Imam Khomeini states: “this year certain sorrowful tragedies have befallen Muslims so that we should offer condolence rather than congratulation …” the Imam continues: “the greater tragedy is that governments claiming to be Islamic are working hard to obtain benefits from the US and Israel in exchange for implementing the Camp David Peace Accord or similar plans and recognize Israel openly and acknowledge it as their master despite the enormous atrocities it has committed…” Imam Khomeini calls upon all the Hajj pilgrims – and Iranian pilgrims in particular – to promote the Islamic Revolution to other Muslims through their Islamic behavior and ethics.
