Iranian government seeks to follow Imam Khomeini path

Iranian president says his government has strong determination to follow the path of the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

Hassan Rouhani made remarks at a recently held ceremony at Imam Khomeini’s holy mausoleum where president along his cabinet members renewed their allegiance towards Imam’s ideals.

The president also stressed that Imam Khomeini showed the path of managing the Islamic-democratic system successfully in the complicated contemporary world.

“Today, the government seeks to prove that the path of Imam can help people achieve their goals and victory,” the president noted.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the president pointed out that all the sanctions against Iran were annulled and the “walls of sanctions” had been “demolished” following conclusion the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna on 14 July 2015.

The UN Security Council turned the JCPOA into an international law by endorsing a resolution on 20 July 2015.

The developments also set the stage for the lifting of the Security Council sanctions against Iran.

“Today, the path to do economic activities is ready and the government, undoubtedly, will achieve its goals,” Rouhani said.

Rouhani also emphasized that the government seeks to implement policies of the resistance economy and take actions in line with improving economy and solve economic problems such as unemployment.

At the holy shrine of Imam Khomeini, President Rouhani and his cabinet member were warmly received and welcomed by Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the late grandson of founder of the Islamic Republic.

Hailing the government’s efforts to solve problems, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said that moving forward on the way to progress and development will necessarily have difficulties and obstacles as well.

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini once described himself as a servant to the nation, and recommended the senior authorities to undertake all efforts to solve people’s problems including economic and financial difficulties.

The victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 put Iran on the track of progress, changed the balance of power in the interest of developing nations, confronted the aggressive policies and vicious plans of colonial powers, and strengthened the oppressed nations across the globe.
