Right-doers get divine reward on Eid al-Fitr

Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic says the day of Eid al-Fitr is an occasion of forgiveness and bounties by God, the Almighty.

The intellectual made remarks while addressing a group of workers who serve at the holy mausoleum of Imam Khomeini.

Citing some references from Islamic tradition narrated by Imam Ali, the truthful successor of the holy prophet of Islam, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini went onto say that the day of Eid, which marks the end of the blessed fasting month of Ramadan, remains similar to the Day of Judgment because the right-doers get divine reward and the wrong-doers become disappointed on this day.

Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini citing several Hadiths stressed that on the day of Eid al-Fitr; a large number of people are forgiven by God, the Almighty, and receives endless divine rewards and bounties.

It is notable that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic through his messages, speeches and works attached great significance to the event. Imam used to send congratulatory messages to all Muslim leaders and nations on the occasion, and recommended the believers to take care of needy and oppressed people.

Imam also reminded the Muslim leaders at each of Eid messages to pursue the rights of the oppressed nation of Palestine which has been suffering from Israeli occupation for decades.
