University students, lectures, professors and other academic figures gathered at Imam Khomeini’s holy mausoleum which is located in southern part of the Iranian capital, Tehran.
The gathering comes on the eve of the 27th passing away ceremony of Imam Khomeini.
Addressing the intellectuals, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini recalled how the students and intellectual from Tehran University and other universities stood by Imam until the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the grandson of Imam Khomeini stressed the need for unity among all echelon of society, ethnic and religious groups and university and seminaries.
It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic has been a great champion of unity among the entire Muslim Ummah and the oppressed nations in order to confront the colonial policies of exploiting powers.
Imam revived the divine, religious and spiritual values in contemporary era at sensitive juncture of history. His dynamic social, political and cultural thought are becoming increasingly popular among followers of all divine religions and among devotees from various parts of the world.
