According to Ali Dastani, the head of research department of the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works, the encyclopedia has been classified into following sections:
- Philosophy and theology
- Jurisprudence and its fundamentals
- Occurrence and history
- References and Personalities
The encyclopedia has eight hundreds entries and contain Imam Khomeini’s works and views on range of topics.
At least 30 researchers and academic figures, and dozens of writers have been conducting research to compile the comprehensive encyclopedia which would facilitate access to Imam’s views on various topics.
Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic has had well command over philosophy, mysticism, jurisprudence, Quranic and Hadith sciences and literature and poetry. He left very precious works and his divine and academic legacy is becoming increasingly popular among intellectuals.
Imam’s works have been become part of several prestigious universities and seminaries across the globe in recent years.
Dozens of Imam’s works on a range of subjects have been translated into different languages by the international department of the institute.
Experts maintain Imam’s views and works are deeply rooted in basic Islamic sources such as Quran and Sunnah , and narrations by holy prophet of Islam and his infallible successors.
Imam has presented very well balanced divine views on a wide range of subjects which could relive the world societies form being falling into moral and social decline.
Following the victory of the Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini, Iran made significant progress including the scientific and academic fields.
