Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has said that late senior cleric has been a great devotee of the founder of the Islamic Republic.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made remakes in a statement he issued on the passing away occasion of Ayatollah Vaez Tabasi.
The supreme leader said that the late cleric has been great sincere friend for him, and a great devotee and supporter of Imam Khomeini.
The leader has also led Ayatollah Tabasi’s funeral ceremony, which was held in the northeastern holy city of Mashhad.
The supreme leader has also pointed out that the late Tabasi stood along Imam, the Islamic Reovluton and people during thick and thin times from beginning of until the end.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei also praised the services which were rendered by the late cleric to Astan Quds Rizvi, a charity foundations which oversees the affairs of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH) and also runs developments projects for welfare of people.
Ayatollah Tabasi passed away at the age of 80 on Friday after being hospitalized in a hospital in Mashhad.
The late cleric is widely respected by Iranian people as he was appointed by Imam Khomeini as a guardian of the holy shrine in Mashhad after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
Late Ayatollah Tabasi rendered great sacrifices before and after the historic victory of the Islamic revolution. He was a great caliber of seminary figure who paid great attentions and undertook serious efforts to solve the people’s problems.
