Imam Khomeini sought to revive values

A senior Iranian official says the founder of the Islamic Republic and his followers sought to revive values in the society.

Iranian First Vice President Ishaq Jahangiri made remarks during a recent gathering which was attended by officials and intellectuals.

Extending his congratulations on the anniversary of the 37the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the senior Iranian official went onto say that the Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini sought to promote values and eliminate corruption, immorality and from the society. 

The outcome of their efforts has been manifested in form of the Islamic Republic system, he added.

The vice president pointed out that a long road lie ahead towards the implementation and promotion of these values and human dignity. 

Elsewhere in his remarks, the official said that sometime the cultural hurdles are not less harmful than the economic problems facing the societies.  

It is notable that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, founded the Islamic-democratic system which guaranteed the rights of all people from all walks of life regardless of their religious and ethnic association.

The Islamic Revolution also raised awareness and awakening among the entire Muslim world and revived  the rights of  oppressed nations across the globe.
