Imam Khomeini described Saddam as puppet of colonial powers

The founder of the Islamic Republic frequently described the former Iraqi dictator as puppet of colonial powers.

Imam Khomeini once in a historic speech said that Saddam was not even a pro-Arab figure because many Arab ethnic groups have been attacked by his forces.

Imam described the Saddam dictatorial regime as a puppet which was pursuing the interests of the world colonial and exploiting  powers in the strategically important region of Middle East.

Saddam’s autocratic regime imposed a long war against Iran and later also attacked some Arab countries in coming years.

Imam Khomeini, the world religious and spiritual leader united the Muslim communities beyond their ethnic line and and sectarian affiliations.
