The special session was held in the run up to an upcoming summit under the title of ‘people’s rights and the government based on religious and democratic values form viewpoint of Imam Khomeini’ at a College and research center on Thursday.
The academic sessions were held under the supervision of Ayatollah Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic.
The gathering was attended by senior university and seminary scholars at the college which is located near the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini on the outskirts of Tehran.
At least two special round table discussion and study circles, managed by scholars, were also arranged under the following topics:
The fundamentals of basic rights and human rights from viewpoint of Imam Khomeini
Jurisprudential fundamentals for people’s right to vote
The full fledge summit is set to be held next years. All domestic and international scholars will be requested to send their articles at the secretariat of the summit.
The Islamic-democratic system under Imam’s wise leadership strengthened the Muslim and oppressed people around the globe.
Imam’s academic thought and legacy is becoming increasingly around various parts of the world.
