Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of Imam Khomeini highlighted the necessity of protecting and shielding the natural environment.
He made remarks while addressing the senior officials and works form the environment department.
The great intellectual also called for a raised statues and upgrade rights for those who are engaged in protecting environment.
The Muslim scholar went onto say that just as a connection between healthy mind and healthy body is the key to a much happier life; on the same pattern a neat and clean environment and nature is required for the physically and mental health of the whole humanity.
Seyyed Hassan Khomeini also insisted on creating reconciliation between the human and nature.
He noted that the mankind went on smear campaign of damaging environment after the industrial revolution.
The grandson of Imam Khomeini also urged the advanced countries to do more and undertake more efforts to protect environment and climate, because they had been main responsible for damaging the nature in recent decades.
Iran technologically advanced and made progress in several field following the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Iranian government has recently allocated special budget and resources to protect environment across the country.
