Once after my meeting with the Imam at his residence in Jamaran, one of the state’s authorities paid a visit to the Imam in order to resolve certain current affairs. He was accompanied by his aged father. After the conclusion of his meeting with the Imam, he said: “When I was being received by the Imam, I walked in front of my father while he followed behind me. After the audience was over, I introduced my father to the Imam. The Imam gave me a look and stated: “Is this gentleman your father?” I replied in the affirmative and the Imam remarked: “Then why did you walk ahead of him and enter the room before he did!”
