The founder of the Islamic Republic set patterns of leading a very simple lifestyle during all stages of his life.

Imam Khomeini always recommended the government officials and authorities, religious scholars, clerics to adopt simple styles in all fields and arenas.

The world spiritual and religious leader also advised all devotees and believers to avoid luxurious life and instead assist help the needy, oppressed and poor classes of society.

Imam considered the blessed month of Ramadan to practice divine virtues and getting rid of bad habits such as greed, cruelty and selfishness.

The great Imam also distributed his land among farmers in historic city of Khomein and set up many institutions to extend help and assistance for the needy. Before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam was granted with hectors of lands and precious gifts by believers and faithful

Devotees and believers around the globe have been deeply impressed by Imam Khomeini’s simple and modest lifestyle and decorated himself by leading a modest and simple life. 

The great Muslim leader led the Islamic revolution by described himself a servant of the nation. 

 “Leader and leadership in the divine religions including Islam is not in itself something grand to make men proud and self conceited”. “If they call me a servant, it would be better than being called a leader. Being a leader is not what matters. What matters is service, Islam has made it necessary for us to serve! I am a brother to Iranian people and regard myself as their servant and soldier...” the founder of the Islamic Republic once said.  

Imam had followed the footsteps of the holy prophet of Islam and his infallible in helping deprived stratum. 

The great leader led very simple life before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979

Imam also opted to live at the edge of the holy city of Qom among deprived classes of people while he was teaching at the Islamic seminaries. Imam’s residences were almost devoted to for the seminary students and they used to consult these sites to resolve their educational and financial problems following Imam’s exile to Turkey and holy city of Najaf in Iraq.

A large number of pilgrims visit his simple residences in Tehran, Qom and city of Khomeini to closely see his simple lifestyle.

Imam Khomeini truly exemplified the true and genuine teachings of the holy prophet of Islam and his infallible successors in his lifestyle.

The great figure put emphasis on the importance of self-purification and attaining the proximity to Allah , the Almighty, before he began lecturing his students on intellectualism and academic issues
