He made remarks on sidelines of an international summit in the Iranian capital Tehran. The interview was conducted by staff members of the Imam website.

Question: How do you asses Imam’s personality and his dynamic thought?
Senegalese academic: I have a well command over the mystic works and wrote an exposition on famous book ‘fusous al –Hikam. After an exploration and massive research in the field of mysticism, someone can easily jump to conclusion that the great Imam has a special and unique status among the mystic figures throughout the history.
Question: How did Imam play an active role in uniting the various Muslim sects and the followers of the all divine religions?
Senegalese academic: Imam Khomeini has been a great mystic of our contemporary history who undertook serious efforts to unite the followers of divine religions. Imam eradicated sectarian divisions and followers of Sufi Sunni sect in Senegal pay a lot of respect. Imam's mystic views are becoming increasingly popular among Sufis and other schools of thought. Imam is popular and loved by all followers of divine religion.
Question: How did you become familiar with Imam’s works and which o f them you have read in recent years?
Senegalese academic: I became familiar with Imam’s dynamic thought through some of translated works. A number of precious works by have been translated into African languages. I have read these works and love a lot to explore his mystical and moral teachings.
Question: What are your suggestions regarding promoting the genuine teachings and dynamic thought of Imam Khomeini?
Senegalese academic: Imam’s dynamic mystic and ethical thought are becoming increasingly popular across the African continent and several other parts of the world. So the need is being felt for Imam’s works to be widely distributed.
The academic concluded by saying that the great Imam rendered great services to the Muslim world and exerted serious efforts to restore dignity and grandeur to Islam.
Several of works including ‘Forty Hadith’ left by Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic contain mystical treasures and the great scholar of contemporary era has touched upon various issues with genuine Islamic approach.
Imam has left dozens of academic works which covers a range of academic, spiritual, mystic, jurisprudence, philosophical and theological fields.
Some of his valuable mystical and spiritual works consist of Misbah al-Hidayah, an exposition on forty Hadiths, the hosts of intellect and ignorance, discipline of prayers, secret of prayers and several others.
His dynamic mystic and religious thought would continue to spiritually guide and transform the truth-seekers for the coming periods and centuries.
