Iran army, Air force Pledged Allegiance to Imam Khomeini

On Feb, 8 1979, senior army and Air Force officer vowed historic allegiance of to Imam Khomeini and the divine objectives of the Islamic revolution.

Several senior officers headed to Imam’s residence and declared their support for the people movement.

 The developments took place on the eve of victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran which toppled the brutal regime of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

The great leader of the Muslim world also appreciated their stance and advised them to join people and exert their efforts to confront colonial and vicious powers’ agenda. 

 Iranian army and air force joined the massive waves of people protesting and fighting the Pahlavid regime, accelerating the process of its collapse.  The Iranian Air Force together with the Army personnel played a key role in the ultimate triumph of nation against the dictatorial Shah regime.

Imam issued warning and urged the public’s extra caution against Bakhtiar and his people who were trying to bring back the regime of the Shah or trying to assert their authority. The great leader promised to counter all of their conspiracies and plots.  

Shahpur Bakhtiar was forces stepped down as the last puppet prime minister of the Shah regime less than two weeks later and fled the country.

Imam Khomeini appointed the transitional government with the backing of public and masses to pursue the democratic process and to hold a referendum and elections.

Imam had made clear that he would establish an Islamic democratic system where pure, genuine and real teachings of Islam would be promoted and implemented. 

Iranians marking 10 days leading to victory of Revolution 

Millions of Iranians across the country have begun ten days of celebrations marking the 36th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

The ceremonies started on Feb. 1, morning at 9:30am local time,the time when the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini arrived back home on February 1,1979 from exile. 

Imam Khomeini spent more than 14 years in exile, in the Iraqi holy city of Najaf. He also spent some time in Turkey and France, before his return to Iran. The day when Imam Khomeini returned to Tehran marks the start of 10 days of celebrations better known as the 10-day Dawn festivities,which culminate the in nationwide rallies on February 11 this year, the anniversary of the triumph of the Islamic Revolution. 

During the 10-day Dawn festivities,Iranians take part in different events and activities to mark the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Imam Khomeini is widely loved by devotees and believers and his works are increasingly becoming popular around the globe.

The progressive Islamic government under leadership of great Imam  brought prosperity and development for the nation in coming years.
