Weekly Times magazine conducted an historic interview with the founder of the Islamic Republic and its readers were deeply impressed by the academic and political wisdom of Imam Khomeini.

The magazine also used Imam’s picture as magazine cover, introduced him as the most influential personality and published the whole text of his interview.

In the historic interview which was just conducted two years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution,  Imam Khomeini counted crimes committed by the Shah regime, and outlined his agenda of establishing justice and defending rights of oppressed and rendered his precious views about political, economic and cultural situation of the country and the whole region.

The great spiritual and religious leader of the Muslim world said that the Pahlavi regime of Shah had massacred thousands of people, made Iran dependent on the external and colonial powers, destroyed Iran’s economy and damaged institutions.

Imam Khomeini further stressed that the Iranian people have established an Islamic-democratic system which seek independence and reject any association with the western or the eastern bloc at that very sensitive juncture of the history.

Imam vowed to revive the rights of the nations and expressed his determination to  defeat all colonial powers who have been involved in plundering the natural  resources of the nations over the past decades.

Commenting on the change in balance of power after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam emphasized that the Iranian nation would throw colonial powers out of the strategic regions.

The great Imam made Chrystal clear that the Iranian nation would defend rights of oppressed nations, Islamic, humane and moral values and move forward on basis of justice.

The Islamic Revolution emerged victorious under the wise leadership of the great Imam which set stage for the prosperity of the Iranian and other oppressed nations across the world.

Imam Khomeini has had well command over several disciplines of the Islamic sciences including the philosophy, mysticism, jurisprudence, poetry, Quranic interpretation, Islamic traditions and several other fields.

He left several works as his academic legacy which would continue to guide the generations for decades to come.
