Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution took very concrete steps to highlight the Palestinian issue on the international arena. Some of them come as following:
Imam through his speeches and historic messages recommended the relevant Iranian authorities to make Palestinian issue as top priority and take all diplomatic steps to raise the issue at the international forums and also spare no efforts to expose the crimes and atrocities being committed by the Israeli regime against Palestinians.
Moreover, Imam declared the last Friday from the holy month of Ramadan to declare as the International Quds Day in order to raise awareness among the Muslim world and the world public.
In addition to that, Imam took serious efforts to support ethically and politically the Lebanese people and Palestinians to resist against occupation of illegal regime of Israel in the Mideast region.
