The Presence of 700 Foreign Guests at the Ceremony of the Anniversary of the Demise of Imam Khomeini

Almost 700 foreign guests have traveled to Iran to participate in the ceremony for the 23rd Anniversary of the Demise of Imam Khomeini.

The culture deputy of the International Committee for Imam’s commemoration said: “These persons are the scholars of more than 20 countries and comparing to last year their number has increased about 20%.”

Sayyid Ahmad Mirian added: “These guests are from countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, India, Russia, Tunisia, Libya, Zimbabwe, South Africa, NIger, Ghana, Netherlands, France and Bosnia.”

Mirian pointed to programs prepared for these guests as participating in the ceremony for the 23rd Anniversary of the Demise of Imam Khomeini on June 3rd and a travel to Mashhad and pilgrimaging the holy shrine of Imam Rida (s.a.) on June 5th.

He said: “The foreign scholars participating in the ceremony for the 23rd Anniversary of the Demise of Imam Khomeini, after attending to the international conference on “Ethics and Politics in Imam Ali’s Life through the view of Imam Khomeini” will participate in another conference titled “Imam Khomeini and Islamic Awakening” on June 5th.”
