Before talking about the operation which lead to the freedom of Khorramshahr, it’s necessary to look at the power and presence of the commandership of youth during the imposed war. A specification of the Islamic revolution by the leadership of Imam Khomeini was the presence of youth forces in security-defensive fields. These persons are our national heroes now. Though through the history there had been youth that were a pride to the world. People such as Suhrawardi, the great philosopher of the East and the Islamic world, Avecina who wrote most of his works during his youth, Mullasadra, Martyr Mottahari, Dr. Shariati and the most important one Imam Khomeini who was the figure of the century and most of his scientific and religious works are for his youth. Through the time of the Islamic revolution and while the Imam was in his 80s, he always trusted the youth and used them in different positions.
During that time Imam believed that the young commanders have more bravery and power and we should give them the power for innovating and creativity. For sure the using of these youth brought a lot of victories during the war and today we are all using their benefits. The freedom of Khorramshahr during the imposed war, was the symbol of the Iranian nation’s resistance and the victory against the Iraqi imposers.
The people of Khorramshahr reached to freedom through resistance. Our brave soldiers by their resistance in Khorramshahr, changed the “Imposed War” to “Imposed Failure” for the enemy.
