Iranian parliament speaker, ministers of culture visit book stall displaying Imam Khomeini's books

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyyed Abbas Salehi have visited a book stall displaying Imam Khomeini’s works at 31st International book fair in Tehran.

The stall has been managed by the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works.


A separate stall has been organized with efforts of international department of the institute in order to introduce Imam’s unique works and his precious ideals to foreign intellectuals and academics.


Dozens of Imam Khomeini’s works in foreign languages and several multimedia productions regarding his dynamic thought were presented at the stall.


As per tradition, the event goes under way at the capital’s Imam Khomeini Grand Prayers Ground or the Mosalla named after the founder of the Islamic Republic.This year’s expo runs from May 2-12.


Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohsen Javadi earlier told the country’s Iran Book News Agency (IBNA) that a record 400-plus publishers from 50 countries have attended the book fair.


Overall, this year’s exhibition, which played out in an area measuring 130 square kilometers (50 square miles), turned out to be bigger than the previous edition, bringing together over 2,000 local and foreign publishers.
