Question? How could Imam Khomeini impact the world politics, social environment?
Hashem Shalhoub: Imam Khomeini transformed the entire world, changed the balance of power and caused significant modifications in the world politics and international relations.
The late founder of the Islamic Republic broughtabout positive changes to the world public opinion regarding Islam.
By developing pure and Muhammadan Islam as basic pillar of the Islamic Republicstructure which also represents the pure image of Islam, Imam changed the world people’s incorrect interpretations and approaches towards Islam.
With support by God, the Almighty, the Islamic Republic system in Iran has been based on genuine ideals of Imam Khomeini and continues its path under the current leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran has grown ever- stronger and emerged victorious due to its pure culture, Islamic identity and guidelines by the Iranian leaders.
Question: How did Imam Khomeini enlighten world societies?
Hashem Shalhoub: Due to constant enlightenment by Imam Khomeini, genuine religious inclinations and leanings towards real Islamic Ideals, are also spreading and expanding towards other countries such as Lebanon.
These genuine ideals absolutely distance themselves from any type of extremism and denounce violent path adopted by extremist groups such as Daesh and others.
In my opinion, unfortunately several Muslim countries including Yemen, Bahrain, Morocco and even Saudi Arabia have absolutely failed to implement genuine Islam.
