The Coexistence between the Abrahamic Religions in the View of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) Was Explained in Zimbabwe

The peaceful coexistence between the Abrahamic Religions in the View of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) was explained with the contribution of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Harare with the presence of Christian leaders and Shia and Sunni Muslims in Zimbabwe, the Public Relations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization reported.


On the occasion of the 28th demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him), a round table entitled "A Peaceful Coexistence between the Abrahamic Religions in the View of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him)" was held on Sunday, June 4, at the Islamic Center of Fatima Zahra (PBUH) in Harare with the presence of Mohsen Shojakhani, the Iranian cultural attaché in Zimbabwe, Hujjat al-Islam Ali Mahdavi, a clergyman sent by International Publicity Center of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Christian leaders, professors, students and a group of Shia and Sunni Muslims in Zimbabwe.  


At the beginning of the conference, Sheikh Abdullah Makwinja, the director of the Islamic Center of Fatima Zahra (PBUH) in Harare, talked about some of the ethical dimensions of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) and his views on peaceful coexistence between the Abrahamic Religions.


Then, stating that Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) was a very powerful and humble figure, Reverend Matthias Tsine, from the Council of Apostolic Churches of Zimbabwe, in his speech said: "Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) supported all oppressed people of every religion and respected all of them and for this reason he emphasized on peaceful coexistence between the followers of divine religions".


In this meeting, Reverend Ngaaware Malunga from the Tehilla Christian Network stated: "Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) left an eternal heritage for humanity from his human and moral teachings; teachings that not only had a positive effect on our generation, but also will be fruitful for the future generations and the emphasis on peaceful coexistence and mutual respect between the followers of divine religions is one of these important teachings".


Emphasizing on the point that the manners of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) should be modeled, Claude Cassels, the director of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) in Zimbabwe, stated: "Unfortunately, the modern world faces with war, corruption and immorality and if the teachings of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) are followed we will certainly observe a better world in which the followers of divine religions will be able to live together and in peace".


Ms. Zwinguvanisei, a professor of Islamology at the University of Zimbabwe, was another speaker in the ceremony who talked about some parts of the services of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) in the Islamic world.


According to this report, at the end of this ceremony, Hujjat al-Islam Ali Mahdavi and Mohsen Shojakhani, the Iranian cultural attaché in Zimbabwe talked about the achievements of Imam Khomeini (Mercy of Allah be upon him) for Islam and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
