Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic frequently maintained that the savior form the progeny of the holy prophet of Islam would relieve the world from clutches of cruelty, injustice and inequality.
Imam Khomeini, the leader of contemporary Muslim world also maintained that the savior will introduce divine system to maintain good governance, and establish a massive justice.
Imam Khomeini underscored importance of the 15th Sha'ban, the birthday anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi (PBUH), an ultimate savior of humankind and the 12th in the line of imams who were descendants of the prophet Mohammed (PBUH), and described the event as the most significant Eid for believers and the entire humanity.
From Imam Khomeini’s viewpoint, HadratHujjah, who is from the progeny and descendant of Fatima Zahra, the daughter of the holy prophet of Islam (peace be upon them), will be flag-bearer of justice and confront all exploiting and arrogant elements and powers.
Imam Khomeini once said in a historic message in this regard as following:
“I present my congratulations to the Muslims and the nation of Iran for the festivity of the 15th Sha`ban that is the birthday of Imam Mahdi. Sha`ban is a great month.”
Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic on several occasions through his messages and speeches highlighted that the belief was not merely restricted to Muslims, but followers of all divine religions have firm faith in emergence of a divine savior.
Islamic sources indicate that divine savior will remove superstitions and ignorance and promotes logic, knowledge and rationality.
The ideals of doctrine of divine savior teach mankind of solidarity, brotherhood and unity.
The belief for emergence of the divine savior is considered to be a firm pillar of Muslims' beliefs which reminds us of hope, faith, ultimate fortune and victory of good powers.
