Divine religions’ mission to restore peace, tranquility

The grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic says the mission of divine religions have been to restore peace and calm to human societies.

 Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini made remarks during a visit to International al-Mostafa University in Sri Lanka.


The grandson of Imam Khomeini went onto say that the Islamic Revolution in Iran has been a return to divine values.


The internationally-reputed scholar stressed that the religious leaders were assigned to bring calm, peace, tranquility and spiritual satisfaction among societies despite material deficiencies in their life.


Elsewhere in his remarks, he said several content oppressed nations enjoy calm, while some industrialized or advanced nations may suffer due to lack of spirituality.


The scholar is currently on a visit to Sri Lanka where he has met senior officials including president, prime minister, the minister for affairs of Muslims, and a number of religious leaders.


It is notable that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic in his messages and speeches frequently emphasized to strengthen ties with developing and oppressed nations.


Iranian revolution defended the rights of oppressed people and changed balance of power in the interests of developing nations.


Imam’s political, academic and spiritual legacy has attracted attention of millions across the globe.
