Cultural minister awards to Quran’s devotees

Iranian Cultural Minister Ali Jannati has awarded figures with Quranic knowledge during a ceremony held in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The ceremony was held in a cultural Hall know as ‘Wahdat’ and was attended by senior officials, intellectuals, academics and Quranic scholars.


The ceremony in previous years used to be held during the holy month of Ramadan. However, this year ceremony was organized as Iranians are celebrating and marking the 37th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.


Addressing the ceremony, the cultural minister stressed that Quran forms foundations of unity and solitary among the Muslims. He also noted that the divine book inspires and invites mankind towards exercising rationality and wisdom 


The distinguished and learned students, devotees, scholars and intellectuals who carried out research regarding Quran, were hailed and awarded at the gathering.


It is worthy to mention that scholars believe that Imam Khomeini‘s doctrine regarding rationality and spirituality has been deeply rooted in Quranic verses.


The late founder of the Islamic Republic has had well command over a range of fields of disciplines including philosophy, literature, mysticism, jurisprudence. Imam’s academic and divine legacy is considered to be inspired by Quran.


Several of Imam’s works contain deep Quranic references.


A five-volume collection about Imam’s Quranic views and interpretation has been recently published by the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works.


Imam academic and divine legacy has become increasingly popular among intellectuals, and has also become part of university curriculum at various reputed universities across the world.
